Sadly there are no NBA games this time of year, so we can’t update you on how Stephen Curry the basketball player is doing. But we can update you on how Stephen Curry the golfer is doing!
Update: Very well.
For the second year in a row, Curry is competing in the Ellie Mae Classic in Hayward, and he is greatly impressing the crowd. His first-day score of 71 was just one-over par, and put him eight shots off of the lead.
Stephen Curry ends his first round at the Ellie Mae Classic +1, with a score of 71 on the day after hitting for par on the ninth hole (his 18th).

Curry has his work cut out for him, as he’ll have to be in the top 65 tomorrow to make the cut. He’s currently tied for 115th, but he is doing a bit better than last year.
In addition to the fact that he’s doing well (Curry said making the cut is “within a shot”), there have been a lot of highlights from an athlete known for them. We’re used to the highlights on the court, but check on the grass:

As always, the international superstar was also good for some great quotes.
"Still had the same jitters on the first tee."

But @Warriors guard @StephenCurry30 overcame those jitters to shoot an opening-round 71 @EllieMaeClassic, the lowest round of his #WebTour career. pic.twitter.com/E3Xm83bYgM
Good to see Steph having some fun with his offseason. Just don’t leave the hardwood for the links anytime soon, please, because we know you could if you wanted to.
