Few things are as fun as player rankings, which give us all the opportunity to argue in support of our favorite players, and against those who we deem overrated.
Over the last week, Sports Illustrated has been unveiling their list of the 100 best players for the upcoming NBA season. The other day I mentioned the rankings of two Golden State Warriors players: Andre Iguodala (87th) and DeMarcus Cousins (68th).
Now the full list has been released, revealing the other four Warriors ranked in the top 100.
Of the “Core Four”, Kevin Durant led the way, repeating last year’s ranking of second. Just like last year, Steph Curry was right behind him, ranked third. Draymond Green came in 13th, with Klay Thompson rounding out the group at 22nd.
KD and Steph came in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, in @TheCrossover's Top 100 NBA Players of 2019 list

Do the rankings properly signify how important each player is to the Dubs? https://t.co/1EOITLATBf pic.twitter.com/BZie92AqLz
Now, I’m sure Warriors fans will have something to say about all the rankings. Durant vs Curry is always a fascinating debate, and many dubs fans will no doubt think Green and Thompson are under-appreciated. That’s what makes these things fun - the conversations they generate.
