A lot has been made about the future of the Golden State Warriors, and how long the core will be able to stay together. One of the pieces in question is former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green, who will be a free agent in the summer of 2020.
If Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson re-sign, then keeping Green around will cost a lot of money, especially if he is able to qualify for the supermax. And Green has openly spoken about wanting to maximize the amount of money he can make.
That said, the three-time All-Star doesn’t see a change of scenery in his future. At Monday’s Media Day, Green was asked about his contract situation, and his future with the team. His response? “I’m confident that I’ll be here for a very long time.”

Green also called his situation with the Warriors a “partnership” and a “family”, while also stressing that he’ll handle negotiations, contracts, and extensions as a business, because that’s what they are.
All in all, this seems and sounds like very good news.
