The Golden State Warriors had a wire-to-wire no doubt blowout for the first time in what seems like a long time, covering a 5.5-point first quarter spread, 10-point halftime spread and 17-point full game spread against the New York Knicks.

The Dubs are once again favored by more than fifteen points as they host the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. Here we discuss the odds and analysis from a betting perspective.

When: Friday January 11th, 2019 at 7:30pm PST.

Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, California

TV: NBC Sports Bay Area

Line: Warriors -15.5, total at 221

Injuries: Zach LaVine (ankle) is probable and Denzel Valentine (ankle) is out for the Bulls.

Shaun Livingston (knee) is probable, DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) is out and Damian Jones (pectoral) is out for the Warriors.

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls moved to 10-31 following their 124-112 loss in Portland on Wednesday night, and have lost five straight.

Chicago is led by Zach LaVine scoring 23.5 points per game and dishing 4.3 assist per game, and Wendell Carter Jr. grabbing 6.9 rebounds per game.

The Bulls are scoring 100.7 points per game (30th of 30), allowing 110.2 points per game (16th of 30), earning a simple rating system (SRS) score of -9.07 (30th of 30), pace factor of 98.1 (23rd of 30), offensive rating of 101.6 (30th of 30) and defensive rating of 111.2 (19th of 30).

Chicago is 19-21-1 against the spread (ATS), 15-25-1 to the over/under, 9-20-1 to the over/under after a loss and 9-16-1 to the over/under with one day off.

Golden State Warriors

The Dubs moved to 27-14 on the hot hand of Klay Thompson’s 43 points and exquisite placement of Stephen Curry’s 14 assists, exuding joy that thrilled the Oracle crowd in a manner with which we haven’t seen in awhile.

Golden State is led by Steph Curry scoring 28.9 points per game, and Kevin Durant with 7.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game.

The Warriors are scoring 116.7 points per game (3rd of 30), allowing 111.7 points per game (20th of 30), earning a SRS score of 4.79 (5th of 30), pace factor of 100.2 (10th of 30), offensive rating of 115.3 (1st of 30) and defensive rating of 110.4 (17th of 30).

The Dubs are 17-24 ATS, 21-20 to the over/under, 9-13 ATS as the home team, 9-13 to the over/under as the home team and 20-16 to the over/under as a favorite.

Analysis

Klay Thompson broke the record for three-pointers made in a single game and the Warriors scored 149 points, easily covering the 11-point spread, the last time they played the Bulls, and it seems that Golden State is once moving and shooting the ball with the enthusiasm that has been a core feature of their championship character.

When Klay is heating up, Steph is dropping dimes and Oracle is rocking, the Dubs are pretty much unbeatable and the only question about the outcome of their Friday night contest with the Bulls is not if but how badly they maul Chicago.

Even though we typically caution against laying large-double digit spreads, the Warriors will be well-rested, hitting an offensive groove and facing a Bulls team that has lost five straight and been offensively challenged, with little to play for besides a chance a Zion Williamson, making us lean toward laying the 15.5 with the Dubs.
