Steph Curry is certainly not above laughing at himself. Sometimes, that’s all you can do.
Curry had a rather hilarious blooper during the Golden State Warriors victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday evening. After stealing the ball, Curry found himself ahead of the pack, with only the hoop in front of him.
He wound up for a dunk (which would have been his first of the year) and promptly slipped, falling right onto his butt and scraping his knees. He bounced up, grabbed the ball, hoisted one of his patented three pointers and . . . . missed everything.
But Curry laughed it off in the locker room, and he laughed it off again on Tuesday, on an episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Curry was a guest on the show, along with Oscar-nominated actress Regina King and comedian Ron Funches, who both razzed the two-time MVP a fair bit.
Steph jokingly tried to make an excuse for the slip and slide, saying “what happened was the LA Kings had a game right before us, and they must not have put the floor back on top of the ice all the way because there was a little wet spot.”
Not missing a beat, Funches chimed in to ask, “How does the ice explain the air ball?”
All in all, the segment was nothing short of hilarious, and a reminder that Curry doesn’t take himself too seriously, despite being one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Curry even finished off the joke on social media:

Now that’s making the most out of a blunder.
