Explain One Play: Jordan Bell One-handed Alley-oop Dunk

Jordan Bell of the Golden State Warriors produced his best game of the year against the Suns. Watch the JaVale McGee play GSW ran for him for an alley-oop dunk, and how he used his speed and hops to get layups and dunks. Co-starring Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

Notes During The Game

  • KD was too unselfish there. When a small is guarding him, it has to end in a shot by him or forcing a double team leading to an open shot.
  • Bell with his best game of the year. Finishing simply, lots of hustle plays on defense and the boards, few big mistakes.
  • The Warriors have an endearing tendency to force feed any role player who gets hot. Sometimes gets them in trouble, but some things are more important than regular season wins...
  • Feels like Andre has more trust in his shot right now. He’s been drawing more contact on layups this game than I’ve seen in whole months. And with that he bricks two FTs...
  • KD threaded a gorgeous bounce pass in traffic to Jerebko on the pick and roll.
  • Quinn beats the buzzer — call me old-fashioned but I believe every quarter should end with a heave by some team, FG% be damned — and had some happy words with Jerebko. I think it was because the defender went to guard Jonas instead of Quinn.
