Jonas Jerebko remains away from the Golden State Warriors as he awaits the birth of his second child. Jerebko left the team during their latest road trip, as his wife was expecting, but three games later the family’s newest addition has yet to arrive.
And so Jerebko will miss Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and perhaps more games as well.

With the addition of a healthy DeMarcus Cousins, the Warriors aren’t exactly in dire need of Jerebko. The team is rather healthy and deep, and Jerebko would be unlikely to grab many minutes.
Add in the fact that it’s only January, and that the Warriors very openly support their players prioritizing their families, and it’s safe to say that they’re not rushing Jerebko to return. He’ll take as much time as his family needs.
Jerebko is playing in his 10th NBA season, for his fourth team. On the year, he’s averaging 7.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 36.5% from three-point range.
