The Golden State Warriors have made the NBA Finals five straight years, but due to an offseason of upheaval, they have dropped off of the radars of many basketball pundits.
During Golden State’s media day a few weeks ago, there was a repeated line of questioning along this route. Draymond Green and Stephen Curry, two grizzled vets, seemed both amused and slightly annoyed to basically hear, “Everyone thinks your team is trash now. How does that make you feel?”
It’s a real sentiment around the league, folks.
ESPN’s Zach Lowe has the retooling Dubs ranked in the middle of a pack of “Borderline playoff teams”.
One of his colleagues Bobby Marks went one step further and projected the Dubs to miss the postseason entirely.

But it’s not just media personalities that are celebrating the alleged death of the dynasty. Check out new L.A. Laker Troy Daniels hopping in on the furneral dirge.

In this spirit, I remixed media day into a groovy jam sprinkled with a few inspired ad-libs for GSoM’s YouTube channel (don’t forget to like and subscribe) to give us all some perspective heading into the upcoming season.
Because with as many weapons as the Warriors have, I’d bet the dynasty is gonna have a lotta, lotta years left.
