Can the Warriors keep the Celtics from winning 10 straight?

Boston has the league’s best record and they are in the house tonight!

The Boston Celtics have won 17 world championships, more than any other NBA team. They’ve had mutiple eras of dominance, from Bill Russell’s Celtics of the 60’s, to Larry Bird’s teams of the 80’s, to the Paul Pierce led squad that won the 2008 title.

They appear to be on the warpath again this season, with a hungry, athletic squad that has the league’s hottest start with a 9-1 record. They’ve reeled off nine straight wins, and are looking to make it ten tonight in San Francisco.

Their opponent, the Golden State Warriors, are the league’s most recent dynasty, coming off of five straight trips to the NBA Finals. The Warriors are the walking wounded however, and tonight will only suit up one player, Draymond Green, who has ever rode a parade float in downtown Oakland.

If the Dubs win tonight, it would be a legit upset, considering the NBA’s current hierarchy. But if there’s any glimmer of inspiration, it could come from the return of one of Golden State’s most iconic uniforms.
