The Golden State Warriors are heading into the holiday season with an awful record, something we haven’t seen from the franchise in several years. The reasons why have been beaten into our heads at this point: massive roster turnover, a gaggle of serious injuries to stars and role-players, and Bay Area traffic to Chase Center raising stress levels.
The recent past was dynastic, and the future looks bright with the emergence of the Dubs’ youth movement, but the fact still remains that the franchise’s present is a painful slog filled with losses. Golden State’s record mirrors that of those terrible New York Knicks...THE KNICKS! #shame
We here at GSoM know it can be difficult to process such a sudden period of decline after living the highs of five straight Western Conference championships and three NBA titles.
That’s why we’ve taken the step to bring stress-relieving ASMR to Dub Nation.
According to Think With Google, “There’s more search interest on YouTube for ASMR than for ‘candy’ or ‘chocolate.’ Odds are, however, you’ve never heard of it. In fact, the top-searched question about ASMR on Google is, ‘What is ASMR?’”.
Dictionary.com describes ASMR as:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a calming, pleasurable feeling often accompanied by a tingling sensation. This tingle is said to originate in a person’s head and spread to the spine (and sometimes the limbs) in response to stimulation. The stimuli that trigger ASMR vary from person to person.
That stimuli can be a plethora of oddly soothing sounds like rain drops, whispers, and soft clicks that send listeners into blissful relaxation.
GSoM has partnered with Warriors fan and humble ASMRtist Christy Love to bring sonic relaxation and gentle encouragement to those who are in need.
Outside of the Splash Bros miraculously healing overnight, I can’t think of anything better to ease the pain of dispirited Dub Nation members, those who are struggling over the devastating injuries and mounting defeats.
