Warriors @ Rockets: Paschall’s rookie of the year campaign hits Houston

This wouldn’t be the first time an undermanned Warriors team went into Houston and pulled out a win... #dubnation

The Golden State Warriors have had their fair share of primetime games in Houston, Texas, but tonight’s showdown with the Rockets is going to have a different feel.

Both teams rosters will look qualitatively different than they have in their previous regular season/postseason clashes, as the Rox have swapped out the aging irritant Chris Paul for the triple-double machine, former MVP Russell Westbrook.

They also appear to have abandoned playing defense, ranked near the bottom of the league (28th) in that category.

On the flip side, the Warriors also are struggling to defend so far this season (ranked 30th in defensive rating)...probably because they basically have an entirely new team.

The Warriors’ rookie brigade, led by Eric Paschall and Ky Bowman, brought the pain to Portland a few nights ago, can they keep it up against the dangerous offense of the Rockets?

And if the Rockets can’t beat THIS depleted version of the Dubs, at least we know Houston GM Daryl Morey will be congratulatory at the end of it all.
