When the Golden State Warriors open up the 2019-20 season this fall, it will mark the beginning of Steph Curry’s 11th NBA season. And for the first time, the two-time MVP and three-time champion won’t be calling Oracle Arena in Oakland his home.
This summer the Warriors will transition to their new home: The waterfront Chase Center in San Francisco. The Chase Center stands to be one of the most modern sports arenas in the world, and certainly a home befitting what Golden State hopes will be a three-time defending champion.
And while Kevin Durant has made numerous visits to the team’s future home (despite his status for next year being unknown), Curry had yet to visit the Chase Center, at least publicly.
But that’s no more. On Friday, the future arena’s social media account posted videos of Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, taking in the new home of the world champs.

The arena is really starting to come along, and it’s pretty cool to see. Still, it won’t feel completely real until Curry trades in the safety vest and hard hat for a jersey and some Under Armours, and we get to see him splash threes through the nets at the Chase Center.
