The champs take a trip to lovely South Beach for their second and final contest against the Miami Heat. Currently, the Heat are on the outside looking in on the East’s final playoff spot with the season beginning to wind down. They have lost three straight games, including fumbling away one to the lowly Phoenix Suns in their last game. They have been devastated by injuries; case in point, they used their 22nd different starting lineup against Phoenix.
Miami is hopeful that rangy wing defenders James Johnson and Justise Winslow can return to the rotation in time for the Golden State game. The last time these two teams clashed, the Heat tried to burn down Oracle Arena and took an early 19 point lead. The champs shook off the adversity and clawed their way to a 120-118 victory thanks to DeMarcus Cousins nailing game winning free throws in the final seconds.
The Warriors started off their four-game road trip in style with a win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Warriors win in Charlotte, move to 43-17. DeMarcus Cousins with his most productive game yet: 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, +10. He's been much better on the road since his return.

Hopefully that South Beach allure doesn’t have the Dubs too distracted from taking care of business against a Miami ballclub with a lot of pride. This will also most likely be the final meeting between future hall-of-famer Dwyane Wade and the Golden Empire. I will always remember D-Wade for showing the modern blueprint on how to convince an MVP small forward to join your team to build a dynasty... thanks Flash!
Let’s get this win Dub Nation!
UPDATE:
DeMarcus Cousins will not play in Miami tonight. Warriors opting not to play him both nights of back-to-back. They play in Orlando tomorrow.
