Cousins and Iguodala out, Durant back vs. the Spurs

New, comments

The Warriors are losing two important players, but gaining two important players as they head to San Antonio.

DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Iguodala will both miss tonight’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs, but Kevin Durant will be making his return.

Cousins is missing the contest after leaving Saturday’s game with soreness in his right foot. Iguodala, on the other hand, is having a tooth extracted.

It’s not all bad news for the Warriors though, as Kevin Durant will play for the first time in eight days. Due to the Warriors light schedule this week, Durant only missed two games after injuring his ankle, but he’s surely eager to get back into the lineup.

Furthermore, while Cousins is having an MRI, the team doesn’t seem overly worried about his foot, as coach Steve Kerr listed the MRI as “precautionary.”

With Cousins out, Andrew Bogut has accelerated his timeline and will be available for tonight’s game.

We’ll keep you updated on Cousins and Iguodala’s status for tomorrow’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
