After the game last night - a tough loss to an always-challenging San Antonio Spurs team - the Golden State Warriors hopped on a plane and took a two and-a-half hour flight to frigid Minnesota.
This is the NBA life. A slog that often goes unnoticed by the public as focus sits squarely on the games rather than the logistics. No one on the Timberwolves team will care about the short turnaround time, so it’s up to the Warriors to find the energy to compete when their second game in less than 24 hours tips off.

Warriors, the Denver Nuggets, and playoff seeding
With the Nuggets win (over the Boston Celtics) and the Warriors loss last night, the top seed in the West is locked up in a tie. After missing out on the #1 spot last season to a very hot Houston Rockets team, the Warriors made lots of noise at the start of the season about their main goals of the regular season just being to maintain health, and get the top seed in the West.
They’ve set themselves up admirably, considering all the injuries and roster shuffling this season, but need to close out strong over the last three weeks until the close of the regular season.
If the playoffs started today, here’s what the seeding would look like:
The @spurs move up a spot with their 9th straight win and the @nuggets clinch a playoff berth Monday night!

Don’t play down to the opponent
Hats off to the Spurs. They ran a great gameplan, and took advantage of an extremely off shooting night from the Splash Brothers.
If history is any indication, then the Timberwolves and their 24th ranked defense are going to have their hands full.
Key stat tonight: Curry/Klay a combined 14-of-43 shooting. Missed too many shots, especially in that -11 first half.

No injury updates
Asked how he felt after his first NBA game in three years, newly acquired Andrew Bogut quipped, “ask me after tomorrow.”
Given the late arrival and back-to-back, it’s unlikely we will get any formal updates. For what it’s worth, DeMarcus Cousins is listed as doubtful, and Andre Iguodala should be available to play.
