Dear Steph Curry

Your article Underrated was an interesting one. You were the typical underdog. Being too small is definitely something a lot of kids can relate too, I appreciate that you are a symbol of still being able to do great things without being ten feet tall. I also appreciate that you shared your fails and didn't just focus on how amazing you are now.

The whole article seems like you are just trying to show how rough of a start you had in life, when in reality I don't think it was that bad. You were extremely fortunate to be born into a basketball family. You had a lot of odds going in your favor, and yes it is hard to live up to the expectations, but you can't sell this to me as the story of someone who had low chances. The article was even called Underrated which makes me believe that that is exactly what you want to be seen as.

Yes you were underrated because of your size and how the colleges didn't want you and how no one believed you would ever be anything, but you still had a lot of advantages over other kids in the nation who don't get recognized at all. Which is something that I think you realize and are trying to fix with your camp. At the same time I can't help but wonder if this article is just to advertise for the camp. At least it seems like you have some good intentions.

I have to respect what you're doing though, giving some people who might not have had a chance an opportunity. Except for there is one little problem, your camp cost over $2000. While it might be sold out, I don't know how many "regular kids" have the money to do something like that. You can't fully advertise that your camps give people a chance to be recognized who would otherwise not if only the kids that grow up in wealthy families get to go.

Your intentions seemed in the right place with this article, but there are definitely a few things that don't add up well.
