Shortly before the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets tipped off on Sunday night, news broke that rapper, entrepreneur, and activist Nipsey Hussle had passed away. The artist was tragically murdered in front of a store he owned in Los Angeles.

According to Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area, the news trickled into the locker room right before the team took the court. And apparently it hit them hard. Hussle had a lot of fans in the locker room, and a lot of people who drew inspiration from his message.

He’d visited Oracle before. A catchphrase of his is tattooed on DeMarcus Cousins. He appeared on Steph Curry’s YouTube series.

During and after the game, the Dubs honored the influential artist through dance moves, press conferences, and social media. Let’s take a look.

If you missed Curry’s video with Hussle, it’s well worth the watch. It’s funny, brilliant, and inspirational.
