Klay Thompson needed the beach to rejuvenate his Splash Bro powers

Thompson returned home to the SoCal area to drown the Clippers with deep shooting in Game 4.

NBA: Playoffs-Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Through the first three games of the playoffs, Klay Thompson couldn’t activate his laser targeting system from beyond the arc. He was 4-of-12 from beyond three-point range heading into Saturday’s pivotal Game 4 clash with the feisty Los Angeles Clippers.

That’s when he knew he had to return to the source of his power: the water. A lot of folks think that a Splash Bro can keep his jumpshot wet just by happenstance. Wrong.

Behold, the Splash Bro returned from the water rejuvenated. The Clippers didn’t know what to do; they could merely witness true greatness. Watch him pump fake two defenders out of his way with dolphin like agility.

Thompson would hit seven straight shots, terrorizing the Clippers defenders from everywhere on the court.

We haven’t even mentioned the excellent defense he played, honing in on Lou Williams like an orca rushing to the surface to hunt an unsuspecting seal. Thompson made Game 4 his personal aquarium, and I’m running out of water-related ideas so let’s just wrap it up with the final stats.
