Former Golden State Warriors assistant coach, and current Sacramento Kings head coach Luke Walton is being sued for sexual assault. The news comes via a report from TMZ, which obtained legal documents of the lawsuit.
The lawsuit comes from a sports reporter who covered the Los Angeles Lakers during Walton’s tenure as head coach. However, the lawsuit alleges that the sexual assault took place prior to Walton taking the position with the Lakers.
Neither the Lakers nor the Warriors have commented. The Kings released a short statement, saying they are looking into the matter.

Walton and the Lakers mutually agreed to part ways at the conclusion of the season, which was a rocky one for the Lakers. Shortly after leaving Los Angeles, Walton agreed to a deal with the Kings.
