The Swag Champ got his ring, and the Warriors got a delay of game

It’s all very poetic.

Nick Young received his 2018 championship ring on Friday before the Golden State Warriors game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Swaggy P - now dubbed the Swag Champ - was given his ring by Draymond Green in a pregame ceremony that drove the fans wild.

Hilariously and fittingly, the Warriors spent so much time celebrating Young that they were given a delay of game warning before the game had even started. Classic. You couldn’t script it better for a personality like Young.

Young played in 80 games for the Warriors last year, and averaged 7.3 points while shooting 37.7% on three-pointers. He dropped off a bit in the playoffs, but still had a few important, memorable moments.

Swaggy P has been unable to catch on with a team this year. He briefly signed with the Denver Nuggets, and appeared in four games, but was cut when the team got healthy and had too many players and not enough roster spots.

We’ll see if Young - who now has the requisite bling befitting a champ - will play in the NBA next year.
