Kevin Durant will not play when the Golden State Warriors host the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The news that KD would miss at least one more game first came from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Golden State star Kevin Durant (calf strain) will not play in Game 2 of the WCF against Portland, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Durant being ruled out isn’t surprising at all. His strained calf is set to be reevaluated on Thursday morning, meaning it was never likely for him to play later that evening.
It’s pretty rare that a reevaluation clears a player to play immediately. Even if the Warriors get the best news possible for Durant, he’ll need some time to resume practice activities and test out his leg before he plays in a game.
Thursday will be the third consecutive game that Durant has missed since straining his calf. We’ll know more after his reevaluation on Thursday. The earliest we might see him is on Saturday for Game 3 in Portland.
