Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins is back in the gym. Reporters noticed that Cousins was present at Tuesday’s shootaround before Game 2 against the Houston Rockets, and grabbed some video of the four-time All-Star putting up some shots.

Cousins doesn’t do much physically in the video, which shouldn’t be surprising since he’s only two weeks removed from the torn quad that he suffered in Game 2 of the Warriors first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers.
A few hours after shootaround, coach Steve Kerr gave an update on Boogie, though it’s a little bit more of a non-update.

“He’s progressing with his rehab,” Kerr said. “But nothing significant enough to report. He’s doing a little bit better.”
While it’s good to see Cousins progressing, it remains highly unlikely that he’ll return this season. At most, the Warriors have about seven weeks left in their season, and Cousins will likely not be ready to go by then.
But it remains a possibility, at least.
