On May 30th, the Golden State Warriors will head to their historic fifth straight NBA Finals searching for a three-peat. The defending champs are resting up and waiting patiently for the winner of the Eastern Conference brawl between the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors.
It’s remarkable that this will be the first championship series for the Golden Empire which does not feature LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers as the opposition. The Cavs were a worthy rival during the last four years, even handing the Warriors their greatest shame: the 2016 NBA Finals debacle.
That was the series the 73-win Dubs raced out to a 3-1 lead on the Cavs, but were unable to seal the deal as Cleveland roared back in historic fashion.
That fueled the Warriors, as they added the “Slim Reaper” Kevin Durant, and created arguably the most dominant team in NBA history.

GSoM has created a new video reliving how the Warriors avenged their biggest failure by crushing the Cavs in three outta four Finals. Golden State took what was meant to destroy their confidence and used it as fuel to destroy Cleveland instead, reinventing “3-1”.
As the Warriors eagerlya wait their next challenge, we invite you to reflect with us on just how awesome this team is!
