Podcast: Warriors drop Game 1

Steph Curry’s 34 points wasn’t enough.

The Golden State Warriors Game 1 loss to the Toronto Raptors was equal parts comforting, and scary. On the one hand, the Warriors were losing the whole game, and clearly got outplayed. On the other hand, they have a lot of simple adjustments to make, and probably won’t see Pascal Siakam shoot 14-for-17 again anytime soon.

Still, the Warriors find themselves trailing 1-0 in the NBA Finals for the first time in this five-year run. Steph Curry had a tremendous game, and Draymond Green recorded a triple-double, but the Warriors spent too much of the game looking stagnant, rusty, and out of sync.

So here’s another episode of Wake Up With the Warriors, where you can relive the NBA Finals action on Friday morning as you prepare for your day. Don’t worry - there’s always Sunday.

As always, you can listen below, or on iTunes, Stitcher, and Spotify.

Note: Wake Up With the Warriors will take a break for Game 2, as I will be celebrating my father’s birthday.
