Notes During the Game
- I join the game a couple of minutes late and Steph and Harden are both injured??? This rivalry is cursed.
- Warriors have flashed a double team at Harden several times today, and HOU has looked surprised each time.
- You see, Steph being in foul trouble on soft calls every game is part of the ref conspiracy because it costs the Rockets 3.5 points because
- Then Klay gets a nice steal off the rotation to steal the Capela lob off the Harden blitz.
- GSW defense at Q4.5.25 was a masterpiece of pre-switching to keep Curry off the switch, undone by last minute bad help off corner. Dodged a bullet w Tucker corner miss.
- HOU ran down the shot clock hunting that Curry switch to maybe 5, allowing the blitz to make Harden dump off to I think Green to create off the dribble...
- Reggie, I’m sure that it is indeed affecting their basketballing that Harden just had blood pouring out of his eyeball and Steph had a finger ripped from his socket and smashed back in.
- At the end of every HOU game, GSW explore new dimensions of carelessness frittering away of leads, Both Steph and KD have had hideous turnovers down the stretch. Probably won’t bite them this game, but...
- I’ve said it for years that KD’s secret weakness is getting surprise doubled. Nearly lost G1 from it, lost ball in G2.
- Heck, GSW tied the Bang Bang game and won the Klay OKC G6 with those ambush doubles on KD.
- Dray/Andre great, but damn, KD “subpar”? 29-5-4-1-2, holding the team together while Steph out, making plays, blocking shots.
- And Steph a problem? He’s not MVP Steph, but he dropped 20-3-5-2-1 on 16 shots, and set up Dray/Andre dunks, all in foul trouble w a DISLOCATED FINGER
