Regardless of outcome, Thursday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals will be the end of an era. It’s the final basketball game at Oracle Arena, and, even more importantly, the Golden State Warriors final game in Oakland.
And Oracle is going out in style.
To help say goodbye, three of Oakland’s finest will be in the building for Game 6 and performing. The halftime show will feature none other than the legends E-40, Mistah F.A.B., and Too $hort.
The news was first reported by The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears, who noted a funny story: Mistah F.A.B. had to drop $20,000 on a Game 5 ticket to see the Warriors visit the Toronto Raptors, but he made it back by betting $10,000 on his team.
Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B. said he spent $20K on a ticket close to the floor for Game 5 and won the money back after winning a $10K bet on #Warriors. @MistahFAB says he is performing with E-40 & Too $hort at half of #NBAFinals Game 6 at Oracle swansong. https://t.co/469xRbqkC0

The news was then confirmed on social media by Too $hort.

There could be no better sendoff for Oracle Arena, the city of Oakland, or Warriors fans.
Now . . . let’s get the right people in the building to properly enjoy it.
One last game in Oakland. They should ban hedge fund managers and venture capitalists from entering, just fill it up with hardcore locals and rowdy goons.
