In the 2019 NBA Finals the Golden State Warriors were dethroned by the Toronto Raptors partly due to Toronto’s brilliant defensive strategy of triple-teaming Stephen Curry as soon as he got off the bus. With Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson waylaid by injuries, the Warriors offense turned into Curry scrambling for daylight and kicking it to shooters who had trouble consistently nailing the big shots.
The Dubs now are taking flyers on players who might be able to remedy that issue, and have invited one of the greatest names in Chinese basketball history to Summer League: Jimmer Fredette!

The college sniper was drafted in 2011 by the Kings and bounced around the league before being reborn in China.
He returned for a brief stint with the Phoenix Suns last year and tallied up averages of 3.7 points and 1.3 assists in around 11 minutes per game over six games. If there’s any tread left on those tires, it wouldn’t hurt the wounded champions to take a look!
