Podcast: Shorthanded Warriors fall . . . short

47 points from Steph Curry wasn’t enough to overcome three crucial absences.

The Golden State Warriors Game 3 loss to the Toronto Raptors was equal parts understandable and debilitating. On the one hand, they were without Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Kevon Looney - what could you really expect?

On the other hand they got a 47-point performance from Steph Curry, and the stage was set for the type of victory that would stun the basketball world.

But it didn’t happen. Despite Curry’s offensive heroics, the Warriors defense struggled all night long. Kyle Lowry and Danny Green lit the nets on fire. DeMarcus Cousins played horribly. The refs were in offseason form.

And ultimately the Raptors won 123-109, to take a 2-1 series lead.

Here’s another episode of Wake Up With the Warriors, recapping all the action so you can morosely relive the magic (or lack thereof) on Thursday morning. Enjoy! Or, you know, whatever it is you want to call it.
