Kevin Durant has been cleared to return to practice. The superstar - who hasn’t played in over a month with a calf injury - will practice with his Golden State Warriors teammates today ahead of Monday’s NBA Finals Game 5 against the Toronto Raptors.

After practice, Durant will put in some extra work with the younger Warriors players. These are things he hasn’t been able to do yet, so it’s a huge step forward in his recovery.
That said, his status is still undetermined for Game 5, and coach Steve Kerr said the team will monitor how he’s doing today, and move forward accordingly.
Kevin Durant will practice today, Steve Kerr says. Then the plan is to get him some extra work in with younger players. "We'll gauge it from there...What he's going to do today, he hasn't done." An optimistic turn.

This is certainly big news for the Warriors. Golden State’s back is against the wall, as they need to rattle off three straight wins - including two on the road - to keep their season alive.
Durant’s return would be immense, and it finally feels nearby. He may not play on Monday . . . but then again, he may. We likely won’t know more until tomorrow.
Kevin Durant will not speak to media today. If his practice today goes well and his status is upgraded, he'll hopefully speak tomorrow.
