Counting the California Classic, this is the Warriors eighth game this summer, and their third against the Lakers. And because it’s the last, it’s the final chance to see Jacob Evans III, Jordan Poole, and Alen Smailagic before the season begins.
It’s worth noting that Eric Paschall and Omari Spellman are both with the team, though I would not assume that either plays.
For the Warriors, who are 3-1 in Las Vegas but missed the eight-team Summer League tournament due to point differential, it’s a great opportunity to continue development. Evans has looked far better than he did this time last year, and his chemistry with Poole is notable.
Poole has looked the part of a first-round pick, and will try to continue his hot shooting, and keep improving his shot selection. And Smailagic - who has been a force on both ends of the court - will look to finish his strong summer on a high note.
