Spellman, a 6’9” power forward, was the 30th overall pick in last year’s draft. As a rookie with the Hawks, he averaged 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He shot 40.2% from the field, and 34.4% from the three-point line.
Jones was also the 30th pick in the draft, but in 2016. In his first two years in Golden State, he appeared in only 25 games. Last year he was promoted to starter, and started 22 games at center before suffering a season ending injury.
He briefly returned at the end of the playoffs.
Jones finishes his Warriors tenure with averages of 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He won two championships with the Warriors.
Spellman doesn’t have Jones’ experience, but was a quality player last year.
