Merry Christmas, everyone!

For the eighth-consecutive season, the Golden State Warriors are featured on the NBA’s Christmas Day schedule. This time, they’re taking on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Typically, teams would be close to two months into their season, but with the pandemic altering the league’s schedule, the Dubs are playing their second game of the 2020-21 campaign.

Golden State looked out of sync in its season-opening blowout loss to Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets. The Warriors were down 15 at the end of the first quarter and never got close again the rest of the way, losing 125-99.

Stephen Curry had 20 points and 10 assists, while rookie James Wiseman finished with 19 points and six rebounds against Brooklyn. Head coach Steve Kerr said that his team would take some time to reach its full potential after the game. That will only happen if Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. play a whole lot better than they did in the loss to the Nets.

The Bucks will also be going for their first win of the season. Jayson Tatum hit a last-second 3-pointer to give the Boston Celtics a 122-121 win over Milwaukee.
