With the 2020-21 NBA season right around the corner, the Golden State Warriors are unveiling a new court for Chase Center, and it pays homage to their roots across the bridge. On Thursday, the Dubs released the Oakland Forever courts, which follow the design of the We Believe era team, but with “Oakland” replacing “Warriors” on the graphic.
We called Oakland home for 47 seasons, and it will forever be part of our DNA.

This follows the recent unveiling of jerseys following the same design, which are now on sale.
Certainly this will not go over well with everyone in the fanbase. Many fans are justifiably upset with the team leaving Oakland after so many years, to head to the pricy shores of San Francisco where many fans will have a harder time attending games.
Ownership has done a lot to pay homage to Oakland, from designs such as these to investing in the community, but it was always going to be a hard sell once they switched cities.
Still, regardless of your stance on that ... I think we can all agree that this court is gorgeous.
