Welcome to the Golden State Warriors, Andrew Wiggins. In just his fourth game as a member of the organization, Wiggins gets a Golden State specialty: A nationally-televised game against James Harden and the Houston Rockets.
Sure, it doesn’t feel like a rivalry game this time around, what with the Warriors holding the worst record in the league, and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson sitting on the sideline. But there will still be some extra verve in Chase Center, and if Wiggins can get his first with with the Warriors in that setting? Well, that would be pretty cool.
The last time these two teams played, the Warriors got a surprising Christmas day victory. That was pretty neat. Don’t expect a repeat though - the Rockets are starting to click, and the Warriors . . . well, the Warriors are playing for next year, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
If you’d like to watch the game, it’s at 7:30 p.m. PT on TNT.
And if you don’t . . . well, I don’t blame you one bit. Check back tomorrow for (likely depressing) updates on how it all went down.
