This isn’t the first time Curry is getting involved in helping to fight the coronavirus. Last week, he and his wife, Ayesha, donated 1,000 meals to Oakland Unified School District students who rely on subsidized or free meals at school.
The Curry’s also have an ongoing fundraising initiative titled. “It takes a village: help feed America with Stephen and Ayesha Curry” to aid those children and families who are deeply impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. You can make a donation on the Facebook page.
Steph is encouraging people to follow the social distancing guidelines on social media as well:
We all have to take responsibility for ourselves and do whatever it takes to #stopthespread. There’s a sense of urgency to flatten the curve and give ourselves and the healthcare system the best chance to get through this pandemic. Dr. Fauci has been appearing alongside the president during his press briefings since we began dealing with the spread of the virus.
The live chat is scheduled to begin at 10am P.S.T on Thursday on Steph’s IG page.
I love seeing the face of the Warriors being involved not only during this crisis, but in many philanthropic efforts over the years. It makes him that much more endearing and lovable than he already is.
