On Thursday morning, Steph Curry hosted an Instagram Live chat with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci about coronavirus: what it is, why it’s different, and where we are in terms of a potential vaccine.

Curry has been using his social media accounts to encourage social distancing and other individual efforts we can all do to control the spread of COVID-19.

Linked below is a transcript of a large number of highlights from the chat and the who thing is worth a read, if you don’t have the time to watch. Here’s a section I thought was important:

What needs to happen for there be large gatherings and sporting events again?

Fauci: “We can start thinking about getting back some degree of normality when the country as a whole is turning that corner and start coming down. Then you can pinpoint cases much more easily than getting overwhelmed by cases.”
