Willie Cauley-Stein’s time with the Golden State Warriors was brief. He only played 41 games for the Dubs before he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks, where his season came to a sharp halt when the coronavirus suspended the season (Cauley-Stein will not be finishing the season in the bubble, due to the birth of his child).
I’ve found over the last few months that most Warriors fans are highly critical of Cauley-Stein’s Golden State tenure, even though I feel like he played rather well. Perhaps our expectations were a little too high. Or perhaps he just tricked me. Either way!
If you’ve missed the memo, I’m doing a podcast series reviewing all 23 players who were on the Warriors roster this year, so we can start to remember what the cursed 2019-20 season was like, since it ended approximately 37 decades ago.
