Steph Curry did not have a great season opener in the Golden State Warriors 121-114 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. In fact, despite recording a triple-double, Curry called his performance “trash” after shooting just 5-for-21 from the field.
He quickly laid rest to that memory in the team’s second game of the season. It only took Curry about 10 minutes to surpass his points total from the opener, and it took him even less than that to surpass his field goals made tally.
Stating an early MVP case, Curry went into total assassin mode in the first quarter against the Clippers. He shot a perfect 9-for-9 from the field, including 5-for-5 from deep, and went a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line as well.
It was a cool, calm, and utterly dominant 25-point quarter, just three points off of his career-high for a single frame, and the 35th time in his career he’s hit the 20-point mark in a quarter.
So let’s watch all of the points.
Steph didn’t miss in the 1st QTR
