The third game of the season is about to tip-off as the Golden State Warriors face off against the Sacramento Kings tonight in Sacramento at 6pm on NBC Sports Bay Area.
The Warriors are coming off a close win against the Los Angeles Clippers – beating them with a final score of 115-113 thanks to the hot shooting of Stephen Curry. On the other hand, the Kings are coming off a 110-101 loss against the Utah Jazz.
The two Pacific Division teams will matchup against each other for the first time this season. Last year, the Warriors beat the Kings 2 out of the 3 games they played. Their most recent game against each other was back in April 25, 2021 where the Warriors beat the Kings 117-113.
Golden State comes into this matchup riding a 2-game winning streak (7 games including the preseason). The Warriors offense has looked like a well-oiled machine at times especially whenever Curry has been feeling it from deep. Steph will have an interesting defensive assignment on him tonight as Kings’ rookie Davion Mitchell has been building a reputation as a shutdown perimeter defender. It should be fun to see Curry put the rookie’s nickname, “Off-Night”, to the test.
Enjoy the basketball Dub Nation. GO WARRIORS!!!
