Well this might be the most excited that Golden State Warriors fans have been for a game since ... well ... the Dubs opened the season on Dec. 22 against the Brooklyn Nets.
That game was a bust, as Brooklyn took it to Golden State from tip-off to final buzzer. But both teams are wildly different now. Most notably, neither Draymond Green nor James Harden played in that game.
Both teams are a little compromised going into this one though, as DeAndre Jordan, James Wiseman, and Kevon Looney are sidelined. But the key names are there: Kevin Durant. Steph Curry. James Harden. Draymond Green. Kyrie Irving.
It’s meaningful as well, as it will be Durant’s first game in the Bay Area since leaving the Warriors after the 2018-19 season.
Talent and storylines. What more could you ask for?
