Draymond Green to return vs. Blazers

Green’s sprained ankle isn’t giving him prolonged problems.

The Golden State Warriors are preparing for a back-to-back to end the first half of the season, and it looks like they’ll have a healthy team when they do so. Draymond Green, who exited Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers with a sprained ankle, went through a full practice on Tuesday in LA. Coach Steve Kerr said the three-time All-Star is good to go for Wednesday’s road game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Having Green back in the lineup is critical against any team, but especially against a Portland squad that has the sixth-best offense in the league, per Cleaning The Glass. And most importantly, the fact that Green is returning without missing any games suggests that the ankle sprain was not very serious, and is unlikely to be a lingering issue.

The Warriors are currently 19-16, good for eighth in the Western Conference. They visit the Blazers and Phoenix Suns before taking a week off for the All-Star break. A little momentum and a rise in the rankings before then sure would be nice.
