The Golden State Warriors will try and get their season alive when they host the Memphis Grizzlies in the final round of the NBA Play-In Tournament. The winner of this game will advance to the NBA playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference and take on the Utah Jazz in the opening round.

The Dubs are coming off a close 103-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Had they come out victorious, they would have been the No. 7 seed.

Golden State played perfectly in the first half against the defending champions. But the Warriors allowed the Lakers back into the game by committing 15 turnovers over the final 24 minutes.

Steve Kerr’s group will have to shake the emotions from the defeat and come out strong against a Grizzlies team that beat the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday to advance to this game.

This will be the second meeting with massive ramifications in less than a week between the two teams. Stephen Curry dropped 46 points against Memphis last Sunday and Golden State to a 113-101 win, which enabled the Dubs to play L.A. in the 7 vs. 8 matchup.

The Grizzlies made a furious comeback in the fourth quarter to make it a game, but Curry’s brilliance carried the Warriors to victory.

It’s simple for the Dubs. If they win, their season continues, lose, and the team will be in the NBA lottery for a second straight year.
