Y'alls expectations are way too high.

It's a blessing to win a championship. It doesn't happen every year. We have Curry, who is Thanos-level inevitable in the playoffs. But he hasn't played more than 70 games in a season since 2015-2016. And it's only going to get worse. That's what happens with age. LeBron is still Dominant as fuck but do any of you think the frickin Lakers are winning it all this year?

Hell naw.

It's most likely the Celtics-- but there's really no way to tell. Nuggets, Celtics, Clips, Suns and Bucks all got a shot. Grizzlies, Nets and Cavs probably make deep runs as well.

We do not. Can we just accept that? Is it possible for us, as fans, to accept that this team isn't winning SHIT this year, and still remain fans?

Let's consider some regular season outcomes.

We go on a 24-0 streak. End the season 53-29. Good for at least the 3rd or 4th seed.

HA. Not happening. And 0-24? Good for a shot at Wemby? Not happening either.

Most likely, we stay where we are. 9th seed, play-in, with a shot to make the 8th seed for the playoffs. Or, best case, we move up a couple spots and end up the 7th seed.

Where we would meet the Grizzlies in the first round. (provided the top of the standings stays the same which, I accept, no guarantee)

Personally, for me? The best outcome would be if we get the 8th seed, and the Grizzlies end up 1st. We Believe all over again, baby, wouldn't that be something?

What happens after that, I don't give a shit. Gentlemen's sweep from the Clips or Nuggets, maybe.

And don't get me wrong. I'm rootin for these guys, every game. I'm tuned in rootin.

But I'm also a realist. And I know. In my heart. This team is *Immortan Joe voice* MEDIOCRE. They are not winning SHIT.

But I still love them. I love them enough to set my hopes, my standards, a little lower than the lofty ones that we've gotten used to in the last eight years. I love Curry, Klay and Dray enough to say: I hope y'all face Memphis in the first round, and whoop they ass.

Everything after that is gravy, but please, Warriors. Just give me this one thing, and this season would still be a success. At least in my books.
