A trade that would work for both teams is to trade Andrew Wiggins for Buddy Heid. For Indiana, Wiggins would provide defense and length at the wing, with some interior scoring. He is having a bad year, but that appears to be more mental than physical. A change of scenery may do him good. Wiggins also is signed for a few years at a not burdensome salary so provides some stability going forward.
Buddy Heid provides the Dubs with better outside shooting, and also provides some cap relief, as he is on an expiring contract. By not resigning Heid and Klay, and declining Paul’s option, the Warriors could save almost $90 million in cap space and with more minutes given to Kuminga, Moody and Poz, may win more games.
