After escaping with a win in Reno on Friday, today the Santa Cruz Warriors will face the Bighorns again without Golden State Warriors rookie guard Kent Bazemore who was recalled after a dropping a game-high 27 points in his D-League debut.

Instead, they'll have 6'10" Golden State post Jeremy Tyler, who has been assigned to Santa Cruz for today's game.

Tyler played five games in the D-League last season and averaged 15.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game before being recalled to the Golden State Warriors. During an offseason interview, Santa Cruz GM Kirk Lacob commented that the experience was good for Tyler because it allowed him to work on expanding and refining his skills rather than relying so much on his athleticism.

Golden State assignees aside, what was nice to see from Santa Cruz in their first outing was that the squad clearly reflects the organization's newfound defensive mindset: they held Reno to 39% shooting on Friday and without an offensive rebound in the fourth quarter despite allowing the Bighorns to shoot 50% in the final period and make the game close.

If you were dissatisfied with the audio last time, the Warriors' own radio broadcast team will also be doing this game on 1460 KION so you can give that a try.
