The Santa Cruz Warriors have had an up and down season since getting off to a hot start with the help of Golden State Warriors' assignees Kent Bazemore and Jeremy Tyler.
This weekend has unfortunately been an example of that: after losing to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 131-100 on Friday night, the Warriors came up big with a 130-112 victory last night.
Taylor Griffin led the way with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists while Cameron Jones came up just short of a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Dan Nwalele came off the bench to score 20 points on 5-for-8 3-point shooting.
As for the Vipers' Royce White, Gino Pilato of SB Nation's Ridiculous Upside wrote recently that his D-League journey will require patience and last night was no exception: White picked up a pair of technical fouls and was ejected.
